Aussie made cleaning rods.

Post by chrisw91 »

I've decided to start making cleaning rods. As a shooter I feel the issues of certain branded rods that won't rotate smoothly through the motions of cleaning. These are all aluminium and stainless steel construction with quality bearings to guarantee effortless rotation. 44" will be the standard length and the industry standard jags and brushes will fit. Colours will be fixed to rod sizes to avoid confusion. Custom colours can be done on request. The 2 end caps are showing the different text options as I'm still undecided as to which one will be the final choice.

They look great! Are the bearings easily replaced when they get old?

Yes Denis they are easily replaceable. That being said they are easy to clean put a small amount of grease on them and they will be good for a given period again.

At this stage mate I will be supplying them direct. I will be assessing the option for distributors in each state.

I handled the grip on the weekend, not bad indeed. Looking forward to replacing a dead pro shot very soon and will write up a report.

I've managed to get a fixed flat rate post cost to anywhere in Australia for $25. There's a second lot underway currently as the intital interest was far more than I was expecting and I didn't produce enough to cater for that.
