Supertrickler vs AutoTrickler v4 people opinions after a few years of use?
Hey fellow F Class shooters.
So after upgrading all my equipment of late I am still left using mechanical powder thrower and 0.02gn scales and a powder trickler to confirm my loads
Although this results in accurate loads it is rather time consuming. So I am looking to upgrade to one of the highly accurate digital powder throwers.
What are people opinion on the super trickler vs auto trickler v4 ?
What should I buy ?

Ive had/have both. They both work well and either choice will serve you well ... however both units are NOT 100% on the over/under throws. To get the ST close to 100% Ive needed to extend the throw times on SOME powders (2208/2209 mainly)
I do honestly feel I get less overthrows with the ST then the v4 (once tuned for that powder)
If your in the market however ... the new Ingenuity Precision complete system, from reviews and direct messaging with F-Class John, agrees this system is the best for getting far less overthrows and quicker throw speeds - Although, it costs alot more and I dont believe Aubrey has recieved stock yet. soon maybe?

I have the V4 and am very happy with it, tuning only required past initial setup to gain the fastest throw time per powder, I don't actually change the setup between powders, I came off a Chargemaster so just cruising it keeps up with my very steady Dillon 550 setup.

I have had various versions of the AutoTrickler since they first came out. I have a V4 at the moment
Depending on how particular you are, overthrows will eventually drive you crazy when doing a big reloading session, say for a Kings.
I think I will eventually opt for the Ingenuity Precision system or the V4 upgrade version

I'm very happy with my Supertrickler. I've had Autotrickers before, both Gen III and Gen IV but I prefer the additional functionality the Supertrickler offers.

I'm expecting shipments from September. It has been delayed.
My ST will be on the market, I have to support the brand I import! My ST has delivered superb results, but does need close attention to settings.

I run a ST its the older version and is build # 400 aprox. I am running the latest software, which has been a major advance, its not unusual to get 95% for around 100 throws using 2206H or Bm 8208, typically in sub 10 second, no experience with 2208. Never had an AT and its a bit of a horses for courses, I dont mind tweeking settings and seem to understand how it works, but they can be frustrating if you're not that way inclined.

I bought an Ingenuity upgrade powder tirckler for my Auto Trickler that is of the first series {I do have the whole upgrade of Area 419 bits for the Auto trickler} and that has really speeded up the throw time plus nearly eliminating any overthrow.
I sometimes set it for .01 under throw with larger grain powders and that virtually eliminates any over throw due to lag time.. Recommended by the folks at Ingenuity.
Currently waiting for my order from Ingenuity for their whole complete setup as that is the future ahead of the V4 & Super Trickler...
Bit like what happened to Labradar when the Garmin unit came out...
All the rest are going for lots less $ as folks upgrade their systems...
My advice is wait if you can and consider the Ingenuity unit.

Re: Supertrickler vs AutoTrickler v4 people opinions after a few years of use?
I've had every iteration of the AutoTrickler since they were released. I've also owned a Supertrickler V1.
I used the AutoTrickler V3 for the longest amount of time and after switching to the V4 I soon realised that it's not much of an upgrade in performance. You might even say it's a backwards step. It does however have some advantages around the amount of bench space it takes up and no longer having fragile exposed cables. It's more prone to overthrows than a well tuned V3, maybe 5 otherthrows in 100 drops.
I was not impressed with the SuperTrickler at all. I pre-ordered mine and got one off the first production run. It spent way to much time in it's learning phase and was constantly overthrowing.
There have been many firmware updates since I sold mine so maybe they have ironed out all the bugs.
My current setup is a AutoTrickler V3 with the Ingenuity Precision Trickler attachment and it is performing great for me. Average drop time is 8-9sec and rarely overthrows, maybe 1 overthrow in 100 drops.
I will be upgrading to the full Ingenuity Precision unit when they are released later this year. They really are next level in performance.

Re: Supertrickler vs AutoTrickler v4 people opinions after a few years of use?
I have the V3 AT and my mate has the V4 the big advantage I see of the V4 is being able to tweezer drop in a single kernel from the top instead of pulling the cup adding a kernel and re weighing.
Re: Supertrickler vs AutoTrickler v4 people opinions after a few years of use?
Hi I recently purchased a v4 / autotrickler from Kaizen tactical and could not be happier, simply calibrate with the phone apt and 99% of the time it will throw to one kernel.
