Front rest - what are your thoughts?
I am saving for a “decent” front rest.
I currently shoot F Open with a Tikka Tac A1 off an Atlas bipod - .260 AI and a 12-42 Nightforce this combo HAPPILY put me out of SH Class.
Without delving into a p#ssing match of SEB Vs Farley Vs “whatever”.
What are the honest opinions about this rest?
Does anyone here use one?
If so - how have you found it?
Should add, Geoff Wells has been engaged to make a stock as well.
Cheers
David.

Re: Front rest - what are your thoughts?
SEB Neo, hands down. They’re just fantastic. We have two, have shot 6BR, 308W and 7SAUM over it without the slightest issues. The Mini is good too, but much much harder to setup, very fiddly.
They don’t make Farley anymore last I heard, so secondhand is your only option. They’re decent enough, plenty of people using them successfully. If that’s what you can get, then go for it. Personally not a big fan of the single arm setup to hold a 10kg rifle, but that’s personal opinion.
I saw an Aussie Benchrest one in use the other weekend. Looked heavy and solid, had adjustments every which way. Don’t know enough about them, but seemed a solid unit.

Seb and Rodzilla are probably the two best ones out there at the moment. I have a Rodzilla T-Rex and wouldn't swap it for anything else. Had a couple of people raise their eyes at me when I told them the price. They've since bought the Rodzilla themselves. Setup is a cinch and it's ultra stable and comes in its own hard case.

Thanks mate,
Is that a “sample of one” ?
Every manufacturer has issues from time time, not trying to nit pick.
Noting of course - that I cant seem to find an Australian stockist for Rodzilla, nor is there any SEB rests in stock.

You deal directly with RodZilla in the US. Rests are made to order, about 6 weeks. Company is very good to deal with.
Excellent rest with features not available in any other rest. Freight is a killer and then duty is added when landed here. Cost is nearer to $4K than $3K landed. worth every penny.

Re: Front rest - what are your thoughts?
I have been using an Aussie benchrest for about three months now and I can't fault it. Like all rests it takes a little time to set it up to your liking but after that I haven't touched it. It operates smoothly and holds it's position without issue.
