Savage in MDT alloy stock

Post by macguru »

This is my savage 10 308 used for SH/STD. The barrel is an HS precision 10 twist 26" . The stock just fitted is an MDT XRS alloy crossover that feels alot more rigid than the synthetic stock it replaces. Hopefully thats a good thing :)

I can report that the stock DOES make a difference. Probably because the bipod takes the weight and the fore-end and bedding are all the same piece of alloy, with a few panels attached like on ai and other military style stocks. Anyways the groups are better and the next area to improve would be the bipod footprint and the rear bag....
