how can i lengthen my bolt handle on omark ?

hi ,just wondering if anybody knows someone who could or has done a lengthening job on bolt knob-handle on a omark , mine has very short job & would like it longer - help with easy extraction i thought - i think there sweated on ? . could i mill knob down & make thead so i can screw on custom made longer knob - just a thought . any idea,s that are still safe 2 use . thanks . :twisted:
