Hi, I just went to my local aluminum fabricator, told him what I was after, how we should attach it ....3 days and $35 later it was done. Easy.

It is beyond me why most of the savage target rifles have sloping butt stocks fitted. Only the "F class" model has the right shaped stock and it is not available in 308, only 6br and 6-284, and F open shooters are the least likely group to buy an off the shelf target rifle , as opposed to f std beginners.

I fitted a choate 'tactical' stock to my savage LRP and it has a straight section on the lower butt that serves very well... In fact there is very little original savage in that rifle , only the action.
