Hello,
Is there any body out there using a 7/08 in f-open, i have a spare action going and thought i may play around with this round.

If you want to use a 308 based cartridge a 260 REM would be your best option. If you want a 7mm use a 284 Win.

Why bother with anything other than a 6BR as it will duplicate ballistics of a 7/08 with far less recoil and an inherently more accurate round. These all use a 308 bolt face.

I believe that Raeburn Trindall of the Canberra Rifle Club is using a 7mm08 in F Open. He wrote an article some months back in the ATR Mag. Sorry, I don't have a contact number for him.
