what does it take to shoot 60.10??

Get or give advice on equipment, reloading and other technical issues.

Apart form the occasional fluke what cals are making it happen or even just very high x??

Down south it think there is only one guy that i know that shoots a 6mmbr and only a few that have a 6mm as a back up. Down here i get the feeling that we sometimes sacrifice inherently accurate cartridges for a bit more BC.

280AI has done it (Matt P's)
Fairly sure the 284 would have 6BR and 6.5x47L probably too.
I would have with my 260IMP if my first score shot wasnt a low 5 the other week from winding the wrong way after sighters.
A 308 and 223 has done it over here in FS too.

Look at the thread with F class records.

I agree wholeheartedly! The only issue is, even though I consistently shoot high center counts (6+), the best I seem to get to is 60.9 and that was even when I cut 6's for sighters

I'm a great fan of the 6mm (Dasher or BRX) which has given me great center counts!!! Although I don't enjoy cleaning them.

I've given up chasing Super V's, and spend more time just keeping the group centered. I think a 180 is a better outcome than a few lucky 60.10's IMHO.

That might all change the day I shoot one :-)

Trying to shoot 60.10's would be a club based thing for sure. If the conditions are there for it in competition and you are hammering the X ring as it is of course you would go for it, but at the end of the event a 60.0 is better than a 59.9 unless a couple of shooters end up on the same points.
