Russian Primers ?

This may be a silly question, but I've read a few articles on US websites talking about getting good reslults using Russian Large Rifle Primers.
i.e. David Tubb & that champion F/TR shooter, Brad ...?
I tried to Google them and hit some jibber about PMC's & Wolf?

Does anyone know if they are available in OZ?

If so, are they soft or hard, because the spring on my Barnard S 308 is a bit on the weak side.

I have used them in Lapua Cases with 2208 and have had no problems at all.

I would say slightly on the soft side,however no worries with ignition,and no group change from other primers that I could tell.

Actions are Millenium.

I have found them to be slightly larger in dia. than some others.

The russian primers are sold as PMC primers in OZ. I use the large rifle primers in my Rem 308 F standard rifle and PMC small rifle magnum primers in my F open rifle. They have worked well for me, but some others said they didnt go well for them. Maybe it is down to firing pin weight/spring strength or something as others have had ignition problems with them, while I got least verticle at long range with them. They are harder to seat than other primers and are a bit of a chore to seat in Lapua cases with an autoprimer tool.
