Omark Remington 700 trigger

Hi guys. I'm new to f class. Is a Remington 700 Timney trigger a straight drop in for an Omark 44 or are there modifications required. Thanks

You need to modify the cocking piece in 1 or 2 ways .

Dependent on when your omark was built will determine if it has a square of angled cocking piece .
If angled you follow the same angle and file it back carefully until the timing is correct .
If it is square you need to set the angle to match and then time the action .

Before people say this can’t be done please see attached image .
That is a Remington 700 trigger that has been modified to be a 3 lever “Remington 2oz” trigger .

before going to far with omarks make sure your bolt head retainer pin is large pin or else most ranges will not allow it on range

20 years ago I fitted a Shilen 2oz trigger to my Omark. It was a "drop in" no mods required.
With a trigger weight rule change I changed to a Jewell. With this I had to file the cocking piece back. Mine is the angled version. A bit of a nervous job. File a bit, try, file a bit, try.
I rehardened the cocking piece once I had correct timing.
