Nagambie OPM - Supporting Variety Victoria

#1 Postby Weairy » Sat Nov 09, 2019 2:39 pm

Hi everyone,

Nagambie Rifle Club will hold a prize meeting, hosted by the VRA Wellsford Range.

This event will be held in support of Variety, The Children’s Charity. For anyone that doesn’t know about Variety and the amazing work they do, I’ll explain. Variety supports Aussie kids in need, whether disadvantaged socially, economically or physically. Their efforts provide support to those that really need it, from Liberty wheelchair swings, to Sunshine Coaches and Wigs for Kids, their work is extremely important to the wellbeing of many young Aussies. Because of this, we have made the decision to donate all profits of the event straight to Variety Victoria.

The event will be held in Wellsford on the 8th & 9th of May 2021. We are aiming to hold this prize meet all on Hexta Targets, a first for the Wellsford range.

We will have some awesome prizes on offer, and a raffle including a new Barnard action, Ken Noye stock (dressed in a one-off Variety paintjob) and Krieger barrel.

Additionally, there will be a social event after the shoot, including live music, catering etc. A great chance for everyone to catch up and enjoy the new facilities at Bendigo!

Sunday will see us hold a long-range sweepstake shoot, 10 & 15 Shots at 700yds.

I would really love to see a great turnout in support of a very worthy cause, after a very trying year. Nagambie is only a small club, but we plan to make a big event and really bring it home for Variety.

Hope to see everyone there.

We will be hosting a Saturday night social event, with live music and catering. This would be a great opportunity to come and stay the weekend, enjoy a great meal and catch up with everyone.
$30.00 per head, two course professionally catered roast meal (and more than you’ll be able to eat!).

If we could please get an indication of who might be coming, that’d be great. Please email me (josh@gvsecurityfencing.com.au)

We are now including Sporting/Hunter class in our prize meeting, as per the NRAA rules on this.

If you leave the decision date to mid April and then go ahead with the event it would only leave two weeks to sell tickets. That would be an issue to get them sold to the general rank and file in Rifle Clubs.

Hi All!

Not long to go now.

Everything has been confirmed, trophies on order, caterer booked, targets organised, let's have a crack!

Just a fresh reminder, the raffle is still running to be drawn on the day. A couple of big prizes for shooters and non-shooters alike, with the top prize being a new Barnard action or $1000 cash!
