Re: 2022 ACT RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIPS
I have been informed that there will be no car parking behind the mounds due to wet and soggy ground conditions. Parking is only available on the road, with a first in best dressed so to speak for position.
A trolley is the best option for transporting gear to the ranges. If you don't have a trolley, I am told David Duprez (CRC secretary) has organised through BCF the Wanderer trolley for $120. This currently retails for $169.99. It does come on special once a year for $119.99 early September so this matches that price.

There is a small profit for the deal going to the teams fund for the ACT.
I would suggest contacting CRC for his contact details.
Just thought those going should be prepared for the carting of gear reasonable distances.

If it's too wet and soggy for cars, how will the wheeled trolleys go then?

An update on the Canberra Range 31/10/2022
We walked the range last weekend. There are patches where the water won’t get away, but for the most part we can avoid certain areas which will be roped off to allow parking behind the mounds or adjacent near the main road to the butts.
Camping and caravan areas around the buildings are in reasonable condition, but we will have to squeeze caravans in where possible. The traditional large caravan area to the west of the small-bore range is unlikely to recover before the Kings, so we will allocate caravans to the other side of the small-bore range. It is also likely that excess caravans will have to park behind and in front of the 900m mound. We will have portaloos there, but it will be a 300m hike/drive to the amenities and main club building.
On a bright note, the long-range weather forecast is looking promising after the next couple of days, so fingers crossed for a good comp! https://www.accuweather.com/en/au/majura/16927/november-weather/16927?year=2022

Geoff, you will have to carry the trolley as well
Thanks for the Range update Steve. And let's hope the weather forecast will be kind. NRAA event got too wet for me in the end

We ACT Championship organisers are planning to allow vehicular access behind the mounds where possible, so we will provide further updates over the next week or so.

Great to hear.
Looking forward to 5 days of shooting, but I see some possible wet stuff is forecast. Hoping we stay dry.

I am hearing reports of liquefaction occurring at the Canberra range. With the current forecast of deluges over the weekend what is the likelihood of cancellations?

Re: 2022 ACT RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Looks like they got all ranges of both leadup and Kings done, despite the concerns about ground conditions. And good attendances too, particularly in TR.
By the look of the scores the last day at 600m had the most challenging conditions. Congrats to all the winners . The F-Class winners all got their second win at this level. Albert van Wyk adds the ACT Kings to his 2019 WARA Queens, Mahlon Reid backs up his win at the 2019 ACT Queens, and Marty Kelly adds to his VRA Queens earlier this year.
Any commentary or photos welcome.
I should get our rankings updated in the next few days.

Re: 2022 ACT RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIPS
A well run event. Great to see so many shooters back enjoying a great shoot.
The TR numbers were bolstered by the addition of the State TR Teams which followed the Kings event.
The days were typically 4 seasons in a day...who said that about Melbourne...
Winds were tricky on the second 800 meters, along with the second 600 meters. I got bitten savagely (TWICE) by the sudden blow down the range that took all the wind off and showed how much you had on your scope turret
Still a lot of fun and well done to Canberra and Bungendore clubs for putting on a great shoot.
