Just curious as to how re-l oadsshooters are getting outof Lapua cases before primer pockets start to get loose. I am getting 8 to 10. Generally bin them around the 14 mark. Running 175 M/K's around 2860.
Cheers,
Trevor.

I reckon we’ve got some brass there that’s up to 15+ reloads in 308W Lapua Palma Brass (Sml primer). They’re getting a bit rough in the primer pockets, but no signs of giving up yet.

Up to 20x or so in a 6.5x47.
Actually, 200 cases saw the barrel out, count exactly unknown, but some cases were reloaded in excess of 20 times. It was only burning 37.5gr of powder each shot though.
Edit: I was ditching a few cases towards the end due to small splits in the necks that mostly did not go all the way to the case mouth.

Re: Case Life
This is a lapua 260 Remington case if you look at the extraction Groove your see black Texta this is always my first shot it's on the 16th firing neck sized only no cleaning POI has not changed it does now need to go into a body die as the last firing there was a slight resistance on the bolt handle mild load 130 grain pill 43.5 grains of 2209 cci200 primer .
Primer pocket not much difference between that and a new case.

I buy 200 new cases with every new comp barrel never had a problem, average between 2000 to 3000 rounds per barrel. note the quicker you go the quicker things wear out.
