Hi there,
I am wondering if anyone on here has any experience using the Mantis dry fire training system and if so what is your opinion of it.
Cheers

Re: Mantis X3 Dry Fire Training
I shoot Handguns as well as F/TR and Match Rifle.
For Handgun shooting the Mantis works very well as a training aid.
I could not imagine it being any help at all for F/TR where 1mm (40 thou) at the muzzle is 1 meter on the target @ 1000. Back on the scope rail that movement might be 0.25mm (10 thou) but given the size of the X or V , and the fact that most of us don't hose the target we are talking about movements well under 10 thou available to be measured.
For Match Rifle where we have a bit more free floating human error to contend with, and a 1kg trigger, maybe the Mantis might tell you something.

Hi Tachyon,
Thanks for your reply...it will be used mainly for match rifle (target rifle) which I am fairly new to. A member from a visiting club suggested it as useful tool and I just wanted some other opinions before I parted with the $$
