What action and barrel length are you using.

Go to the ADI reloading page. Find the bullet weight and powder type. Look for the maximum charge weight. Start 1.5-2 grains under and increase in .2gr increments.

I would start at 42.5 and work up to 44 stepping .3 at a time to see if you can find a sweet spot. I prefer using an accurate node down from one that is close to max load. Watch for pressure craters in the primers if you go over 44gn.
I have one rifle shooting 168g Sierra with 41.5 of 2206H. Excellent up to 800 yds.
As mentioned above check the ADI site. ADI data indicates 45.5 is max load of 2208 with a 168gn Sierra projectile.

I have found the 168g seem to work well around 2700-2720 fps.

If you haven't got a lot of 2208 yet I would try and see if you can get a good shooting load with 2206H. In recon it is a cleaner powder as far as barrel cleaning.

Are you setting it up for FTR.
Dave
