Re: Hoover die distributer?
Just received my Hoover Trimmer and pointing dies.
When I ordered by email and then followed up by phone call thy advised me there would be a delay due to a part which was outsourced was not available.
They had my credit card number and advised me that they would email me as to dispatch date and final prices.
They did this and the billing was done on the dispatch day.
The main delay was the time getting from the states to me in Australia.

I already have the die and inserts for other calibres but chasing a sleeve and tipping insert for 6.5mm and was hoping to avoid the wait of importing. I didn't have any issue with Hoover in the past and feel their die is well made.
Bruce IMHO they do make an improvement. Not huge but you know it's all about the vert at long range. A lot of the new bullets are coming pre tipped which is nice

any improvement if at all is marginal.
if your vert will cater for the x ring at all ranges anyway, focusing on horizontal vert has more to offer.

When I bought my setup a couple of years ago John Hoover was excellent to deal with. Likewise when I bought a die from him last year.
The outsourcing is the fact that Hoover doesn't make the items but they are manufactured by Curt at CTK Precision. Curt actually answered my tech questions on one occassion when Hoover was away somewhere.
