Action screw tension

Our standard rifles are Barnard P in laminated stocks with alloy V Blocks.

What is the thoughts on best torque setting for the action bolts?

40-60 in/Ib states it on their Web page

55in/lb has done me for years

Make sure you adjust to inch/pound, not foot /pound, there is a couple of horror stories around.

I should have added that the stocks are pillar bedded.
Necessary but have seen some stocks without them and alloy block?

All my stocks are veeblocks for my Barnards in Mastin stocks , Keith Hills set them at 60inch/lb and shoot amazing
