I have seen it happen to a remmy 7615 pump action.

Gun held up so well that operator at first didn't realize what had happened until he couldn't eject the round. The action contained everything. Barrel buldged - lucky it is a relatively low energy round.

That said I have the same gun and it is dedicated as a 300BO, i don't swap barrels to minimise the risk of this happening. Great little gun and fantastic on pigs off the quad

Saw a guy at the range last year blasting away with his brno 243. Gun was loud and he was cursing his scope and factory loads. When we had a look for him appears he was using his 270. He was fireforming and rattling them down the barrel. Brass was stretched and split.

I know it is not the same thing but it happens, rarely do I take multiple guns to the range for this reason
