Oplo Price List

It’s taken a while for us to stabilise costs given the F6 Mod-1 and Titanium upgrade options (not to mention COVID). We will update our website to include these asap. Pricing is as follows:

Front Rests
F6 MOD-1 Front Rest in 6061 T5 AU$3,950
Light Counterbalance Kit AU$350 (for rifles up to 8kg) – weight barrels now in Stainless Steel
Heavy Counterbalance Kit AU$385 (for rifles up to 10kg) – weight barrels now in Stainless Steel
Edgewood 3M ‘slick’ bag AU$137.50

F7 Benchrest model is expected for release 2022

Rear Bag Support Plates
Atlas rear rest support plate (Australian - NRAA compliant) AU$595
Titan rear rest support plate (International - ICFRA compliant) AU$540

Titanium Upgrades
Horizontal Float AU$1,386.00
Vertical Float AU$1,078.00
Joystick complete AU$528 (includes joystick handle, collet body, collet locking ring and ball knob)

Shipping F6 units: Typically, shipping within Australia ranges between AU$120 and AU$150. International is POA (allow AU$300 to AU$350 for Europe and North America). We ship either DHL or Northline.
Insurance: We charge AU$35 shipping insurance for all F6 shipments.

Lead times: Oplo does not manufacture to shipping dates – we manufacture to an exact quality. This is non-negotiable.

Some information on manufacture
Australian Manufacture: Design engineering, castings, machining, beading, anodising and assembly are all conducted in Adelaide, South Australia.
Sourcing of COTS: Bearings and 90deg gearboxes are from Germany. Timing pulleys and belts are from Italy. Front bags are from New Mexico, USA. Rolled screws and reciruclating nuts are from Taiwan.
Quality: Each F6 MOD-1 unit has a total of 159 parts of which 61 are precision machined. Some components have up to 8 machining operations. Some operations have a tolerance of +/- 5 microns. Titanium adds to the complexity and lead times due to machining speeds so addditional time is required. The F6 is labour intensive to produce - it is not a mass produced product.
Castings are by nature of manufacture, rough. The base is the only place where you will find uniqueness – they are not perfect in surface finish, nor do we want them to be.
All rests are machine engraved with a unique serial number. This can be found inside the mechanism bay.

A word on design
As with all our products, the design of the F6 is no accident. High rigidity in required in most areas but in other areas a level of compliance is required. As an example; the F6 head has zero lateral play for absolute control of shot 'cant' while at the same time it is free to float backward as the bullet travels down and leaves the barrel. This design reduces uneven bag release (static friction release) on the left/right side of the stock which can throw the shot off, instead, it allows the coaxial bearings to control the initial recoil. At the same time those same bearings must have sufficiently reduced friction to allow the shooter to slide the joystick left and right precisely across the waterline without any change to their vertical point of aim. This is just one of hundreds of design inputs.

'Our goal is not to compete in the market with yet another iteration of the same design, but to redefine precision products through innovation and quality'
