All over again for another year and another success story as far as F S Class is concerned.
Saturday saw 83 shooters front up with 25 of them FS divided up as 11 A and 14 B.
Sunday saw the numbers drop off somewhat with around 64 shooters in attendance and this time 24 F Class divided up as 11 A and 13 B.
Competition was keen with 4 60's being recorded at 300 in A Grade and a shoot off resulting using the 1/2 size white centre.

There were 5 " new " shooters having a go for the first time--all B Graders
which now takes the number of FS Class shooters attending Prize meetings in Vic to 107. The popularity continues to increase.
Having now shot 3 major Prize meetings under the new rules I have yet to hear any " Bitching " about the rules. To date they seem to have been accepted without question.

Glad to hear it was a good weekend Barry and congrats to the winners, I'm dissapointed that we couldn't be there, maybe next year.

Glenrowan was a great weekend as usual, with plenty of shooting. Kay and I got there on Friday morning and set up camp on the range with a lot of other happy people, some from interstate.
In the afternoon, Wangaratta club provided markers so that we could have a barrel warmer, and just as well too, as after a couple of misses at 300yds, I discovered that Kay's rifle was still set on 1000yds elevation after the Vic Queens.
After 3 x 10 shots over 3/5/600 yds on Saturday in the Ovens and Murray Association prize meeting, an excellent array of trophies were presented to the winners -- there were very nice trophies for range prizes as well as for Aggregates. Barry has already listed the winners. The presentation was followed by a fantastic spit roast provided by the Glenrowan people, and a great evening was enjoyed by all.
Sunday saw another 3 x 10 shots in the Wangaratta club prize meeting, over 3/5/600 metres, followed by the presentation of another fine array of trophies and badges, including the 2 day Agg.
I seem to remember that we had a camp BBQ that evening.
On Monday, Kay and I headed back towards Melbourne, and stopped at Violet Town, which is about 45 minutes from Glenrowan, and we fired another 3 x 10 shots in their Prize Meeting, over 3/5/600 yds. I think there were 13 FS shooters, split into 2 grades. F A was won by Max Groves with a score 0f 170 from my 169, and I can't remember who won F B --- sorry. The memory loss might have had something to do with the bottles of red wine that were handed out as range prizes.
All in all, it was a great Easter break, packed with shooting.
The grading system that Barry has devised is working well, as you can see by the results, and I believe that it would be be beneficial if it were to be adopted nationally --- it has certainly encouraged more people to shoot Prize Meetings here in Victoria.
