This qustion is for everyone.
I would like to no your opinions on what make of barrel is best suited for 300 to 1000 yds F/Std in .223. And which barrels has anyone had the most success with.
Yours allways

I think most shooters will have their preferences in barrel makers and any shooter who has been in the game long enough would have a had a hummer barrel (great one) and one or two bummers (bad ones) from a variety of makers. I have had a few of each but now I will mainly stick to Toblers and Liljas. I havent had any realy bad ones of each, but have had some realy good ones from these two.

Hi ned,
I have a thing for Lilja or MAB barrels in my 223, they are exellent barrels to use and clean up in my opinion, the MAB needs a little more cleaning after use then the Lilja but both shoot extemely well for an amature like me.
Hope this helps,

Hi Ned Have had experience with M.A.B. and Krieger barrels in 223 and both are capable of half minute groups if well set up. The Krieger seems to be easier to get shooting groups of this size and seems less fussy on loads but the M.A.B. will shoot equally as well if loads are set up to suit it.Barrel life probably isn't much different but the M.A.B. is considerably cheaper to start with.I'm currently running 2 M.A.B.'s in 223 and they are as competitive as anything else around. Hi Ned
I'am on my second True flite barrel in 223 the first shot .28 moa at it's best then changed when it opened up to .8 moa. the second barrel shoots .3 moa & I have shot 2 100 scores on F/O target this year, the first barrel had 3280 shot fired, True Flite barrels are OK by me

Thanks every one.
I am using a MAB barrel and find it very easy to keep clean, I have very little copper fouling and powder fouling in the barrel is not bad considering the loads that I use. Standard load is 25grn of 2206H in Lapua .223 Match brass and 80grn projectiles.
Thanks again for your input
