Hi

I currently have a rcbc charge master and gem pro 250 and I am thinking of upgrading to the A & D FX-300I with auto trickler.
Is it worth the extra money for upgrading?
Any advice would be appropriated.

Do you have a trickler you use for yours? I am thinking of getting either the Auto trickler by Adam Mcdonald or the Dandy Omega trickler. Both will be used in conjunction with a dispensed amount below the target weight and trickle up.

The Dandy/Omega trickler are a good unit, but the problem is with strain gauge scales compared to MFR scales A&D Fx series.

I have used the auto trickler and a manual power thrower to just below target weight and it is very quick and accurate, usually within a granule of powder.
My set up is the FX 300 with an electric manual trickler which is slower but ok.

Nothing that flash. I just use a thrower and trickle up.
One day I'll automate the process...

I just changed and love it. Add the Area419 base to the adams trickler, set the charge 1mg under your desired load and add a single kernal with a dandy when required. Has transormed my loading takes under 15 secconds a roud to weigh and fill and accrate to the Kernel.

Wheredid you buy from?

I recently bought the FX 120i with auto trickler from Cambridge Environmental (Canada). Was at my door step inside 10 days. If you go to autotrickler.com Adam has links to sites to buy the scales and they are configured to work with the autotrickler straight from the box as well. Mine cost me around $1200.
The area 419 base is another good piece to have as it quietens the trickler.

$1200 for the FX-300i in Adelaide

Ordered through scale man in Perth. A & D have a sale on. Got the A & D fx-300i for $900 picked it up when I went to Adelaide from their warehouse. Adams trickler arrived yesterday and works a treat.

$900 from the scale man. Postage will vary from $25-35 depending on location. Or they can be picked up from A & D Adelaide.
