Normally we would try to get further discussion on a subject before running a poll. However Bob needs to be able to put this to the NRAA quite soon, so the poll is now open. We have more than just one yes/no option because being an F/TR specific issue, it will directly effect those who shoot F/TR, and their votes are important.

Re: F/TR Projectile Poll
This morning I have logged in here, a rare event in itself to look to my next challenge in shooting. For most of my life I have shot TR and a recent injury has pushed me to a supported rifle and learning the necessary skills to enjoy the challenges, and not to continue with the restrictions of the "less than 156gr bullet".
To my thoughts there's a lot more to the skills of being able to safely load competitive ammunition for a variety of conditions and distances and use these with a rifle weight that includes a bipod. To me, the use of a mountain of aluminium that requires a trolley to transport your forward rest around the ranges and only use the 155gr bullet seems to be the training ground for F Open, as you are using the same gear with a lesser bullet. Personally I don't want to go to F Open as I already have a significant amount invested in TR-style equipment and the 308W components and equipment, some of which is on the market.
F/TR is a step towards load development as well as the skills to handle a rest that is likely to need as much skill to keep the rifle on correct aim as to make great ammunition in various bullet weights.

FTR is a great spot to be, ICFRA based discipline which aligns? Like TR with the ICFRA rules.
