I'm hopeful of entering my first ever Queens this year, and am hoping to shoot all 5 days but with the way work is going I reckon I might only be able to get the 3 day Queens shoot in. Never shot at Malabar either so that should be a challenge in itself.

Why is it that when its come to the Queens we use paper targets but then use electronic targets at club level? If electronics are not suitably accurate for major events then why do we use them at club level ?
Back to paper for everything i say

Matt
There are a few reasons that paper targets are being used for everyone this year, firstly is the State Teams for TR is being held prior to the Queens and the rules of the match state that ET's are not to be used, and secondly there simply isn't enough ET's if we get the attendance to be expected with the teams match being held prior.
Having looked at the varying states of repair (some excellent, some not so good) of the ET's used at Malabar I would have concerns competing on the ET's in their current state.
The clubs own the ET's it's up to clubs to maintain them !!

Good Luck to everyone who have started the Duncan today.
The weather is not looking too bad out the office window in the City, but, I'm sure it is a little different down at Malabar.
Looking forward to getting there on Friday for the Queens.
May all your shots be supers.
Cheers,
Phil

LEAD UP: J.G McIntosh
It looks as though Malabar has been unkind to a few of our top shooters. Bring on squadding like in SA.
Keep working hard, and enjoy the nice weather.
It beats working.............

Any chance someone can take some pics & post them up & a quick write up after each day ?
Us armchair shooters need something to keep us occupied .....
I can vaguely recall a prominent NSW shooter criticising us northerners for our lack of feedback, well it is your time to shine !

. And well done Dobbo!!

Also where has John Faulkner been for the last year or two, and is Gary related?

Yes John and Gary are related, father and son. Must be something in the genes
I'm not sure that 60.10 counts as it was shot in under 5 minutes
All the testing and tuning now done, on to the main event.
