Hi all,
I was just testing my 6mm br at 900 yards the other day, I got 2 5shot groups with 2inch horizontal dispersion and 7 inch vertical which gave me from the furthest holes 7.5 inch and 7.25 inch groups is this alright or should I try to shrink the groups further Iam using 105 amax and 29.9 of 2208 to give me around 2870 fps
What cort of groups should I expect from the 6mm br.

Thanks for your help

I'd be a little concerned about the 7" vertical mate

What was it like at 300m?

How ya going mate?

the groups at 100 was around the 150-200 thou mark and at 300 it was about 1 inch or so. we shot fclass before at 500 yards on the standard target and I was still getting vertical from the bottom of the bullseye to the middle of the centre bull, so I dont know whats happening, any idea?

I'm going well

1" at 300m is around the mark.

What type of front and rear rest system are u using? it could be affected by an inconsistent platform or technique.

It may be worth doing some more load testing at 300m to see if u can get the vertical inside 1" at 300m then test again at 600m. I'm sure that other forum members wil have an opinion on this but u should be getting better performance from a 6BR.

Note that at 600m u will get some elevation effect due to wind. (R wind raises, L wind lowers for RH twist barrels)...it will prob be in the order of 1/4moa at 600m.

What were the conditions like ???
I have had groups under 3" of verticle @ 900 in good conditions then have shot it the next week at a shorter range and the group has been terrible and you think the gun is broken. If your're getting 10 shot groups around the 1" mark @ 300 there's nothing wrong with the gun.
