It's that time of year again, who's going ???
I'll be there for the Queens.

For me this is the main event of the year. Great atmosphere, challenging conditions, and most of all, a high standard of competition.
I hope to do another diary for those who can't make it - but who wants to read about other people having all the fun - you have to be there!!

I have just received an email from Raeburn Trindall advising me that an F S teams match will be held on 14/11/06, over 3 ranges, possibly 7,8,900, in conjunction with the Tiverton Cup Teams Match. That will be the day before the ACT Queens series, and there will be medals for the winning team.
The match will take the form of Club or composite pairs. Each pair will be a team.
It is great to see ACT providing this opportunity for F Class, and they deserve to be supported. I would certainly like to see some Victorian teams in it.

Maybe I need to start a rumour that FS will be shot on champ targets and the FO rifle weight limit is being dopped to 7.5kg. It seems we need a controversey like last year to get people to off their butts and attend a prize meet !!!!!!

Van is all packed and hooked on. Jenny and I leaving tomorrow, Adam is coming on Tuesday.
Please don't do that Matt, all's quiet on the front line, lets leave it that way and enjoy a good Queens.
Always look forward to Canberra. The atmosphere is friendly and the competition honest even if the weather is not at times. Probably the premier shoot of the year ( in my opinion )

Sorry Matt but the organisers will need to consult the University exam schedules and set the date accordingly before I will be able to get there. And due to other circumstances you won't be seeing Trev this year.
I hope you have a great event though.

We have 4 F-Class coming from Rosedale Range (Gippsland), 2 Open and 2 Std. We will be looking forward to the easy conditions. I can say that after our 1000yd shoot yesterday - we were getting 15 MOA wind shifts - occasionally missing altogether and being unsure which side of the target!
Looking forward to an enjoyable few days
Alan
