Good luck to all. I won't be there again this year (house-sitting), but will be very interested to see how everyone fares.
Is there anyone able to give some nightly gossip, and perhaps some equipment specs? And no I'm not asking for muzzle energy figures

!

You obviously handled it pretty well, Krakey

only two off the pace set by Jenni Hausler and Bob.
Yeah we would all love a rolling report....at the end of each range would do

and love to hear some equipment details when you get a chance.
I assume Jenni is shooting her sleeved Rem 700 in 284 Win that Redback put together for her ?

Jen will be shooting the new Barnard. Krieger barrel chambered in 284 by Lee Trengove. 180 bergers, nightforce comp and the same stock Mike and Liam have I believe.
Shadetree rest on a Cladwell base
I was in Brisbane while the load testing was done, fantastic rifle right from the get go,,,, now it's run in.....

Looks like a strong 2 pt win to Jenni Hausler from Bob Pederson an Dale Tyler, and the highest X count.
Lee Trengrove , her Brisbane based gunsmith apparently, is certainly a capable gunsmith, as well as a great shot himself. He smoked the field in Light Gun ( 3 x 5 shot groups) at the Belmont 1000 yd BR 2 Day Championship on the weekend.
Jenni has certainly got it going well. Good win
Hopefully the field will double or triple for the "main event" starting tomorrow

Some great scores today. F-Open looks extremely competitive. And what about Hunty in F/TR. What is he on???

. And Trevor Rhodes in F-Std!
Looks like the heavy rain will fall overnight, with just the odd shower tomorrow, so hopefully no ranges will be lost.
Does anyone have a list of calibres?
Good luck for tomorrow everyone.

Alan, rained a lot during 500yds but heeps of perfect scores due to benign conditions. drizzle during 6ooyds but again excellent scores shot. .284's seem to be nailing the X's , Bob P again showing the way.a few 60.10's shot today. I know of at least 5 .284's being shot from 300yds. A few 6.5's and 6mm's. A few extra Open shooters here for the Queens.

Come on you slack buggers, feed us some news, gossip or innuendo, doesn't even have to be precisely factual.
What has been happening at the coal face?
The weather forecast says it has been windy, but Geoff Krake scores say otherwise.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

Day 1 was pretty benign in regard to conditions. As you saw quite a few double and triple possibles!
Day 2 and the weather started to come in.
700 yards and there was a little rain spitting but it cleared. Winds still light but the odd shot lost in elevation. Normally out the top.
800 yards and the sun was out, and we all got stuck in.
900 yards and there seemed to be 3 separate patches of conditions. A bit of left and right at the start, then the middle patch was feral, followed by a benign finish to the range.
Great to see last year's winner rising to the top. However with 900 and 1000 tomorrow it really will be interesting to see how it ends up.
The rain is back tonight, and the wind has hit now making for an interesting shoot tomorrow. Forecast is for strong winds tomorrow, 30km/hr tops

BRING IT ON

I might have to drive home and get the SAUM

Congratulations to Dale Tyler for winning the F Open Queens and Grand agg.
Congratulations also to Suzie Ryan for winning F std A Grade, with Jenny Davies winning the grand agg in F std A grade.
In F/TR, we are going to seeing more of the winner, Liam Hall. How is he going to be with a few years experience under his belt.
In TR A grade, congratulations to Geoff Grenfell on yet another Queens win.
