F/TR Rear Bag question

Hi all, a question in regards to rear bag set up. Are any of you using a fixed bipod eg: something that can not adjust height while taking a shot like a Harris, Mpod or Dolphin. If so what are you using for a rear bag? Hard rabbit ear style or soft squeeze bag or something else. I have a parallel but stock and im wondering what rear bag set up is most suited.

Hi Jase, I use one of these but I've just bought a new SEB Big foot. I overcome the elevation issue with a small wedge that I fitted to the bottom of the stock.

I run it firm. I try to make sure the bag is settled before the first shot so once set up there isn't much need for the wedge. It's there just in case.

Position is vital in FTR. If you can get a mate to video you for a few shots and send it through to me, I can take a look at it and offer advice.

Hi Jase
I am currently putting an FTR rifle together , and although it probably has nothing to do with the original rear bag question I thought you might like to see how hopefully I will overcome the rear elevation adjustment .

It is an adjustable bag rider and seems to work beautifully , although I have a joypod on order so when that arrives I probably won't need the adjustment on it .
Just food for thought .

Thanks Linda that sounds like a great idea, I did some work with my club captain and we have ironed out some bugs from the rifle and also my technique.

Julian i have also toyed with this same idea as my stock has a cut out along the bottom of the butt. Looks like a great set up id be interested to see how it goes.
