Alan,

You heading up this year. I am going to add it to my bucket list for this year.

I will have to see what Mr Berry is up to?

Craig,

All I can say at this stage is possibly. I have a van coming soon, and want to spend a month or two fitting it out. If everything stays on track then a northerly trip is on the cards. I see Mackay OPM is on a couple of days beforehand, which would make the trip more worthwhile.

Last year they were expecting to have their ETs ready for this year. Does anyone know if that is the case, and what brand of ET?

Alan

ET is up and working.

Brand new Kongsberg, we shot them for the Pennants last year, it was a very good weekend.

I am thinking of traveling up too. What is the go with accommodation? I haven't decided if I will drive from Brisbane and camp on the range or fly up and stay in a motel. Google maps tell me the range is about 40min from town.

What's the advise?

Ryan.

Stay on the range if possible!
Unless you want to drive an hour plus each day?!
There is plenty of room to camp away from the "gentlemen" - probably advised! But still enjoy the company and BS! Which flows freely!

Showers on the range, food some if not all nights. complimentary streakers. Some sites powered.

The range is really well set up, closest decent shops are about 15 minutes drive.

Mobile coverage is reasonable.

As Shane mentioned, the after hours entertainment is the best part.

Hi Nq shooters :D just wandering ! Are all of the mounds concrete paved or grass? Are the distances in metres or yards ? ( chief Ro is warming up to the idea too!) regards G

Hi G.
Wish I could be there as well this year. I believe that far north they use Astroturf on the mounds and from what I have been told the distances are measured in light years. :D

Mounds are concrete so you have to think of an effective no spike system.

Distances metres.

Range goes back to 900m.

It was a great turn up last year - very strong field - and hopefully will be again this year.
