Grantville PM -- "Shoot for Autism"

For anyone thinking of bringing a caravan to the Grantville PM, next Saturday 21st of June, there are 2 excellent caravan parks within a couple of kilometres of either side of the range --- one at Grantville and one at Corinella. There is also a B&B right next door ( on the Grantville side ).
Look forward to seeing you all there.

G'day John,

It was a good day today condition wise which led to some good scores.
There were quite a few 60's on the board, some very good.

At the end of the day who won the guernseys?????

Congrats to Grantville for a well run event.I was talking to a few of the Guys from Grantvillle and thay told me that this was the first comp that had been held there.Well let's hope that this becomes a annual event and we helped raise some money along the way so well done to the event organisers.I don't have all the winners and the scores hopefully some one will post them.Conditions were good and some good scores were shot.There were some top shooters there and the little wind there was ment you could see howe well there gear was going and try and learn something..For an example l was talking to Liam my 13 yo son on the way home and he finished 4th in FA with At 500y 60-6 and a 59-5 and at 600 y 60 with 6 so dropped one for the day and wasent even in the hunt.So some top shooters shooting some top scores.For example Rolf Carpeeggiani laid down at 500y (FA) and Banged out a lazy 60-9 and from memory diddent drop a shot all day.Mike Waites won (FO) and all he needed to Win at 600 y was 60 and 3 supers to relegate me to second place so it was a forgone conclusion that l was going to come
second.And you just know when a shooter has confedence in he's ability and gear when he's first 2 sighters are both a 6 and he cuts them both.O Dear here comes an Ass Kicking my way.But the wheels fell off and he only managed a 60 With 9 well done Mike.So hopefully someone will post the scores.But a fun day spent at a well run event and raise some Money.

Thanks for the update Michael, sounds like it was a good shoot.

Now guys, does anyone have the scores? Sorry we are an impatient lot these days, next we will be wanting videos streamed live.

For your first OPM held at Grantville it was a great event.

The targets were perfect, the best I've seen for quite some time.

Marking was well done, a credit to those that were marking.

Lunch was catered onsite, unfortunately I forgot to go back for the cake :-)

And the shoot finished up around 3:30pm from memory.

All that with some 57 competitors shooting made for a great day out.

I think a 50.1 is just the way they show 50.10.

Well done to both of you, that was some awesome shooting.
And well done to the Grantville rifle club, I'm looking forward to shooting there again next year.

Hey Dave, it was nice of you to give Peter Daldy a sliver of hope by dropping a few centres at 600.

I would have thought you could have been a bit nicer to all us visitors. I tried hard and I still think I beat you on Super Centers :-)

The competition was clearly between TRA and F Open :-)

It was lots of fun, I cut 3 x 6's just to get close to you!

Thank you to everyone who supported the Grantville " Shoot for Autism".
The final washup, after raffles, meals, sponsorship, entry fees etc, will be a cheque of $4000.00 to the Southern Austic School, which will go directly to the cause.
Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way, including Ron and Ross Aldridge who journeyed from Wangaratta. and David Rapley from Bunyip, to volunteer their services to mark for charity.
