F/TR to be Included in SSRs

Have just heard from Linda Shehan that
F/TR will be included in our SSR's as of January 2014
.

We need to thank Linda and all the other "early adopters" of F/TR for this, plus let's give some credit to the NRAA =D> .

Linda cautions that this does not mean it will be automatically included at Queens, OPMs etc. that is up to the promoting bodies to decide.

But it does mean it may be run as a class in its own right, rather than as a sub-class of F-Open.

I did here rumours FTR is included in the NQRA Queens (now at Townsville). I will get confirmation and dates....

Good work everybody who has pushed hard for this.

Outstanding! A big thanks to Linda and all those that have/are promoting F/TR. I'm having a rifle built to F/TR spec, just watching the weight (mine too :) . When I decided to go this way some months ago, I figured I could use this rifle for all the F Class disciplines if I so desired - I'll never be a world beater but I do enjoy shooting, competing and experimenting. I only shoot FS right now but plan to play with some different loads.

I can see that grin on your face from here Ron ! Murwillumbah RC will probably never be the same again. I can see a lot of current F Std shooters starting a new build, now that Linda's great news has been made public so I am pleased that you have already got yours underway. I look forward to seeing you at a range somewhere soon with your new F/TR rig

Indeed this is excellent news for Australia. Thanks to the States and Territories for voting in ICFRA FTR.

I am sure you can all imagine how big my smile is!!
I can retire now. :)
*kidding*

I hear a great many good things afoot for F Class as a whole group, these will be announced over the next year.

I can say that no longer will F Class be able to say the NRAA doesn't care them.
Exciting times ahead!

I basically shoot FTR now, just with the wrong cartridge, hence why I shoot open. I may be a convert :D

Thanks Tony, I shot 300yds at Belmont on Saturday, now have 115 rounds through the barrel so time to start fiddling with the loads
I trust your shoulder is mending quickly - guess you can add surgery to the list of 'I would have shot more Xs if...." tales of woe if you have a bad day! Hope to catch up before the year is out.
