g'day all!!
just wondering if anyone can tell me how to go about changing an action. do i need to apply for an addition to my license, considering i will now have two actions and serial numbers? or do i forfeit my original one?
i am assuming its not just a simple exercise.
any info would be greatly appreciated.
happy shooting

additional application new numbers.
When you have the page up the first box top has it ,then just go the same for the rest except in the reason why you want the additional firearm eg backup etc.

Go into your gunshop and ask them the process. It should be an addition and new numbers. But if your wanting two of the same caliber then you are going to have to really justify it in WA. Another of the big hurdles over here hindering the sport is the licensing system. I cant do any state training for tassie next year as Im still waiting for licenses to be approved.

Things certainly happen slowly over there. I heard a couple of YEARS ago that they were moving to recognise interstate licences but it hasn'y hapened yet.

The Auditor General has been through the system and found it totally defective and insufficient for the needs of a Firearm Licensing System. That needed to be done. But we are now paying $170 for an addition to our licenses. Apparently everything it being changed and will be sorted by 2015. Its going to be a long couple of years.
If one permit takes 3 months I can just about say WA wont be sending an FO team to tassie.

Best of luck Brad. I have to say they've always been very quick with visitors permits for me. Don't understand the concept of a postal address though. There's a place for it on the form which I duly fill in and all three times it's turned up at my street address!!
