Assuming you mean for the the throat, as it must be based on a standard .308 (not taking into account neck diameter) one that suits the type of projectile and seating depth of that you intend to use.

From my experience Secant peojectiles like a slightly different lead angle to hybrids and tangent designs.

M852 would be my guess.

I found good for jamming HBC's or jumping the old 2155 sierras. Both have a fairly long bearing surface. The sierra palma or the berger fullbore arent suited to this chamber as the jump is huge and rechamberings seem common to keep them working best. I would think 175-185's would be fine with this reamer. When I get another 308 barrel for shooting heavies I will use this reamer. If I was doing an FS barrel for 155's I would look at a palma reamer.

The 308 Palma 96 reamer (JGS Print #3375) and a throating reamer with 1.5 degree leade (JGS Print 3647) are popular with F T/R. This combines a SAAMI min spec reamer and a throater for the heavy (upto 200gr) bullets.

I used this combination with a throat length of around 125 thou to accommodate Berger 200gr hybrids and used Lapua Palma brass cases. This combination with 44.5gr of AR2208 gave me a velocity of 2700fps. If you opt for using the 185gr hybrids expect a velocity of 2800fps for 45.5gr of AR2208. Work up to these loads progressively as what works in my gun may not in yours!

Hope this helps to give you some idea of what works.

Ian
