Bendigo on Queens Birthday Weekend

No 10 DRA is having their 2 day OPM at Bendigo this year on the Saturday and Sunday of Queen's B'day (10th and 11th). N.B. The Flyer doesn't say so but
there will be F-Open - I've heard this from two independent reliable sources. We think there will be at least 4 F-Open there so its worth a trip. Unfortunately there is a big BR shoot in SA which may rule out a few.
Anyway, I'll be there - should be a good shoot over 6 ranges from 300 to 1000yd.
See Flyer.

Here's a copy of an E-mail sent out to all Vic clubs. Sounds like this will be a great weekend - camping on the range, full catering, wet canteen, paid markers etc. Don't miss it!
Hi All,
Just a reminder that the No. 2 @ No. 3 DRA's have combined forces this year to bring you a 2-day Prize Meeting in Bendigo over the Queen's Birthday long weekend (10 & 11 June).
There will be camping on the Wellsford Rifle Range with full catering and a WET canteen.
There are some exceptional prizes on offer including an MAB Raptor Barrel and Raptor Barrel Tuning Systems donated by Grenfell Armouring Services along with ADI & Sierra Products.
Full-bore A, B & C, F Class Standard and F Class Open will all be catered for.
Ranges to be shot are 300, 500, 600 yards (Day 1) and 700, 900 & 1000 yards (Day 2) with paid markers throughout.
Entry fee is $40 for the weekend plus camping fees.
Kind Regards
Robbie Hassall
Executive Officer

pb,
That's great you're making the effort to come. We'll sort something out with getting your rifle back - I'd be surprised if there weren't one or two other SA people there.
The main thing is to get there and shoot then worry about the minor details! I'll look forward to seeing you there.

pb,
Sounds like you're ready to rock & roll. There may be as many as 9 of us there I've heard.
I'll be leaving home at 4:30am Saturday so will see you at kick-off time.

Just a brief F-Open report after the first day.
Nine shooters! Andy Drinkwater (Vic Police), Paul (Pest bird) Janzso, Paul McCarthy, Chris Thomas, Geoff (Ned Kelly) Wells, Darren (Dazza) White, Wild Bill Siegloff, Wayne (WEM) McFarlane and yours truly.
Conditions were nearly dead still all day, with just a few slight puffs, all happening while I was shooting.
There were no fewer than 4 possibles

, Bill at 300, myself at 500, and both Pauls at 600. Bill is in the aggregate lead with 297, I'm on 296, and Paul McCarthy is hot on our hammer. The weather has changed this evening, so the longs will be much tougher tomorrow. Watch out for Wayne and his 7mm-284, and Pest Bird with his 30-284.
Will get back tomorrow night (late).

And a great time was had by all! Even those of us which finished last
Alan,
At least with the wind and the rain, it should be warmer tomorrow
Best of luck to all of you!
