can anyone guarantee stability & accuracy of this combo from 300 to 1200 yd? (given a min mv of 2800)
i am particularly interested in real life experience, as opposed to theory.

Hi Bruce

Ravern should be able to answer that question for you

Wild Bill and Geff in Victoria are putting together a switch barrel rifle for me. 6mm Norma BR, 308, and a 30-284, I should be shooting it by the end of the month. The heavier 30cal pills are quite stable in tricky wind conditions, well we will see.

Cheers

goddamit paul, you really are a pest(bird)
had the brainwave of emailing sierra, who suggested a 9" twist would be mickey mouse.
on the other hand
, if anyone ha had excellent results with a 10", i might be more inclined to put my yearly barrel budget into a 10incher.

I will be able to tell you in a few months or so. A freind has a 10" twist barrel coming for his 284/175 sierra combo which should be up and running soon. I will see how this goes as I have already ordered a 10" twist barrel for mine. The difference is we both shoot in warm weather (less dense air) so even if it works in ours ,??????
I will let you know when he has shot it to see if it goes OK.
