How long will it take the average "bag squeezer" like me to get used to shooting off a pedestal rest and to be fully comfortable doing so by only using the joystick ?
And do any of you "ex-squeezers" still find your non trigger hand coming back to the back rest to release the shot, out of habit ?
Do you all use the "Stop" feature , all of the time ?
I have been struggling for a year with a McMillan A5 stock under my BAT 6 x 47 Lap, using a great old home made front rest that Cameron Mc made himself, but doesn't have a Stop. I basically have to reset the damn rifle after every shot.
Rifle is now wearing a new McMillan F Class stock.................just waiting on the SEB Neo to turn up. At that point, every last excuse that I ever had will disappear out of the window !

Hi Eco,

When I first got my seb I used to still use my left hand on the bag, force of habit, plus at the stage I was still using my omark in a mcmillan prone stock. But now with my panda and mcmillan f class stock it just sits great and the left hand stays on the joystick.

It's easy to transition. Probably something that you have to be conciouse of with a co-axial rest is to make sure that your joystick hand and gripping fingers are supported well and very steady. My Caldwell Fire Control is very easy to very slightly jerk under recoil and I'm sure the Neo will be the same when it arrives.

I think that although they have advatages they introduce another variable.
