A quick reminder that the Mossman and Cairns Prize meetings are to be held on Sat 26th and Sun 27th May. The prize meetings are held on two separate ranges so is a great experience.
FTR will be shot in conjunction with other grades (FO, FS and TR) under ICFRA rules (tick the box if you comply). 500 (UPDATE SORRY SHANE - 600!!!) Berger Hybrids up for prizes plus medallions and others.
Proudly supported by CRM gunsports.
Cairns and Mossman OPM
As posted in the events section, Mossman was cancelled on Saturday due to torrential rain but Cairns got away as planned. There was a great deal of interest in FTR thanks to CRM's kind donation of 600 Berger projectiles.
John Oddy (Tumut) shot well to take it out (and second in FSA) with 177.11 (300 Berger Hybrids plus medallion etc).
Yours truly 2nd with 177.09. (200 Bergers)
Jim Blomfield 3rd with 176.13 (100 Bergers).
Running FTR concurrently made it smooth and encouraged over 20 entries. If it was run separately the numbers would have been greatly diminished. I had a lot of comments afterwards that this was the way to go as many (including myself) still wish to shoot F standard as well. Those that are chasing the bigger projectiles/ lighter triggers etc can also shoot in FO and maybe give them a run for their money as well as compete for the FTR prizes.
A great day out and great fun
