Looks beautiful MR

Did the Richards stock come as we see it ?

or did you buy the furniture and have it fitted here ?

It comes as a roughly shaped blank John. RR-M inletted the V Block, I shaped the underside of the fore-end, fitted butt-plate & polished.

Very nicely done! I even like the in-letted aluminium bottom plate that supports the action screws. Looks like a magazine cover in front of the trigger guard and would really strengthen up the attachment of the v-block and action.

It will be interesting to see how the 280AI performs on the range as Bruce Moulds has raved about this calibre's potential for some time. I hope it ups the ante for F-Open in SA.

Nice job. Keep us informed as to how it performs. The 280AI is on my very short possibles list for next cartridge So very keen to see how she goes.

Thanks Ian, I'm pretty happy with it. I'm not sure about it upping the ante in SA, I hope it's competitive enough to give me a fair go with you blokes.. I also have a Neo on its way to fully compliment the outfit.

Dave, I have previously fireformed 100xRWS Brass and run a bit of a guessed load last Saturday at 700m, Dropped one silly shot at 9:00 (Driver Error), other than that held 12 in the ten/x rings in reasonably tricky conditions at Lower Light.
Went home quite enthused.

Looks very good Matt, and more importantly, it seems like its going to get the job done on the target. Well done.

Matt, if you don't mind, could you tell me where you sourced the alloy trigger guard and adjustable butt plate.
Thanks

Nice rifle mate. Looks very nice. What loads are you trying?

Thanks Quick.
I have done no load testing at all on this rifle. I threw a load together to support numbers at the Port Pirie OPM this weekend and was quite please with its performance. (2217-63.8gn/Berger 180gn VLD)
No pointing/meplate trimming etc.
No idea what speed this load was running at, though held great elevation at 700yds when the operator performed as he should.

I'm happy to hear of any other load testing done on the 280ai?

I'll be interested to see how the 280 goes against the 284.
