chamber reamer clearance on proj

say proj =0.243 or 0.284 etc.
is chamber better reamed to 0.243 etc, or 0.244. for the job we are doing?
also for other cals?

Is this measurement you are talking about the throat diameter? I know the throat on the 308 barrel you (Tony Z) took off my 308 must have had a very tight throat. If I didnt have much neck tension ,the tight thoat would push the bullet back in the case . For the first year I shot this chamber ,I thought the lands were .100" further back than they actualy were ,its just that the bullets stopped when they hit the very tight throat. When I gave one bullet an extra hard push ,it went in another .100" to the lands. As I use very little neck tension and use the lands to do the final seating (in my BR cases),would .001 or .0005 throat clearnace be better?
