Size of Take-down screws for Omark 44B

Post by Tman »

Any idea on the size of take down screws for an Omark 44B?

The ones that I have are a 3/16th hex head screw, the overall length is about 35mm, the threaded length varies, I have no idea as to the thread or pitch, except that it takes an 3/16th allen key to undo it. They look to be about 5mm or thereabouts. Who knows.

I am hoping to match the existing ones with new ones to match for another stock and the length required may vary.

Any info would be great.

Hi Tman
The screws in the Omark are usually 1/4 UNF in the rear and 1/4 BSF in the recoil plate. If an adaptor is fitted they are normally 1/4 UNF. Hope this helps

I had a look about UNF threads and the like, and the specs also indicated 28
tpi as well.

Thanks for that

That is because 1/4 UNF is also known as 1/4 x 28tpi (UN)
