I am thinking of using the 208gn A MAX bullet in my 300 WSM as the 210gn Bergers are hard to come by.
One Match Rifle shooter has offered me some advice which is encouraging,
but can I have other peoples views on this projectile please.
Cheers
Paul

Re: 208 gn A MAX
Hi Paul , The tests conducted both here and in the US show the batchs tested were not up the scratch for 1K benchrest use .. The Juenke showed too big a deviation , the bearing surface and the joint of the plastic tip were well off .. In the US the dual Ohler 43 speed tests showed the largest variation in *At target speed * out of the 4 bullets shot that day was with the 208 A max( real world BC of .635).. In short they qualified like they shot .. For what it's worth i know a bullet that is available here in OZ but it's not the slickest one out there,,JR..Jeff Rogers.. ps ..i have it on good advise that here is at least one batch that is worth having ,i could get that # if you want [quote="pest bird"]I am thinking of using the 208gn A MAX bullet in my 300 WSM as the 210gn Bergers are hard to come by.
