I am beginning to get enquiries about the dates for the TRA Kings Prize 2026. That's great news for us.

The TRA Kings is on from Thursday 5th March to Monday 9th March 2026

Getting here and getting accommodation is not difficult, but it does take some planning, particularly if coming in your own vehicle.
Book the ferry NOW if you are coming in a motorhome/caravan/high vehicle (over 2.1m).

The full program is below.
Please email trasecretary@protonmail.com with any enquiries.
Contact APS directly for enquiries about the APS -- info@auspointsseries.com.au

How do people transport their ammunition to the TRA Kings?

Reading from the Spirit of Tasmania Carriage of Firearms and Ammunition it states two requirements that would appear to prohibit carriage of self loaded ammunition, as used by most target rifle shooters of any discipline.

1. Self-primed, reloaded ammunition, bulk containers
and propellant and gunpowder are prohibited.

2. Passengers must ensure that ammunition is in
original packaging
and packed in suitable
containers and that the container does not have
other items stored in it.

You can transport less than 500 empty cases, less than 500 bullets and upto 500 primers (in original packaging).

Transporting Powder is prohibited.

I'd love to head down to compete but .......

And if that isn't enough, bring your prepped cases and dies and we'll sell you some powder and set you up with a press.
Give us some notice and you'll be good to go

Thank you for the information. I'll clear my calendar and get set to visit my ancestral isle.
