Hi All,
Is there an optimum balance or placing that the front tracking plate should be mounted on your rifle for F-STD rifles and when resting on the front rest?

I believe most of the weight should be concentrated on the rear bag as that acts as a "rudder" or steering for free recoil.

Can’t speak specifically for f standard as I shoot FTR, but I’ve found that the further forward the joypod is mounted the better.
It changes the centre of gravity (you can feel more weight in the rear bag) and everything tracks a lot truer with less tendency to jump.
I think it would definitely help with a standard rifle. I’d even go as far as an extension piece if your stock is short.
