Are Federal GM205M primers equivalent to CCI 450 or CCI BR4 primers. I have always used CCI primers in my Omark 223 without have any problems. Do these Federal primers have a softer cup than CCI primers? Thanks for any advice. Cheers.

They have a slightly thinner primer cup than the CCI 450 and CCI Br 4,but thicker than the CCI 400.I have used them with solid loads in 223 and 308 small primer brass FTR ammunition without any problems.

Thanks Mike, I haven't used any yet , hopefully I won't have any issues. May have to consider getting some 308 small primer brass as well, given the scarcity of LRP's in WA.
