That is a bit like asking how long a piece of string is, there are many factors that affect the life of a barrel.
1. Chambering (caliber).
2. Loads, amount of powder burnt and the chamber pressure it is run at.
3. How it is cleaned.
4. How fast it is shot.
Just to name a few of the factors. That said, my observations indicate that on average, Maddco barrels last as well as any other quality stainless steel barrel.

I would be looking to getting one chambered and fitted. Tune it up then swap back to the 4k barrel. As soon as the current barrel stops performing, swap them out.

At 4000 rounds your barrel is in the twilight of it's life, you should be well into the planning for a replacement which could take up to 3 months to get a replacement.

Any of you guys get barrels fitted by maddco? Or use your own smiths? Saw this thread think I’m in the same boat

I could be wrong and am happy to be corrected, but to my knowledge Maddco don't fit barrels, that's where your Smith' comes in.

They definitely will fit barrels, I’ve not had one done by them but Nevs reputation is solid.

Out of interest why is that?
