Do they perform as well as the SMK ??
How do they measure compared to the SMK ???

Hi Matt A few around here have tried the Noslers and results are on par with the Sierras.I find the Sierra (hand picked ones) will outgroup the Noslers marginally in my rifle but the Nosler seems to hold better elevation at long range. Maybe the Nosler hangs onto velocity slightly better. A few weeks ago one of our shooters was using Noslers at 900yds while everyone else had Sierras and he only had half the verticle dispersion under very switchable wind conditions(sometimes 8 degree changes between shots). I measured the Noslers early on before they were made legal and was quite impressed with their uniformity but haven't checked later batches. Regards Malcolm

I am currently shooting with 80 gr Noslers with Rem 223, from an Omark. We are really happy with the results, not sure how they compare with the other as I havent tried them.

I would use the Noslers over the Sierra's any day in my rifle.
But neither is as good as the 75gn A Max too bad we can't use them in OPM's. What are you giving up the 308 and buying a mouse gun ???

Having a new gun built after selling all my FO stuff, getting 2 barrels a 308 and 223, now shooting FS only. If the 80gr Nosler is anything like the 155 I'll be sticking with Sierra, the box of 155 I got was terrible the metplats varied amd the base to ogive's where appaling, I guess I'll have to buy both and see.
With the new Dyer being approved there is a case to another bullet approved for 223, maybe the 75 or 80 gr Amax.

I have shot a considerable number of Nozler 80 grain bullets. They shoot very well in one of my barrels, ordinary in the others. the consistency of weight & ogive position is very good. The batch I had went .2235" .0005" under size, so they work best in tight barrels. I have gone back to Sierra, I don't want different bullets for each barrel & Sierra bullets shoot nice tiny little groups in all my barrels.

pleased to meet a fellow mouse gun enthusiast! i've had one for 6 years. Second barrel nearly worn out, wouldnt shoot anything else.

G'Day All,
my mate Dazza has just moly'd up 250 80gn noslers for me and he wasn't impressed with noslers Quality Assurance program given the amount of copper shavings and crud that fell out of the HP tip. He's worried about the crap that DIDN'T fall out of the hollow pointed tip!

I haven't shot them yet, but soon we'll see!

Meplat trimming would probably help, but the problem shouldn't be there in the first place. Too late for yours though Ned - trimming needs to be done before molying in my experience.

SSRs do not allow you to trim the meplat inTR,or FS.
