Questions for 6 x 47 lapua users

G'Day All,
Just a couple of quick questions.......

1. What is the un-turned neck diameter of a loaded round with a typical 6mm LR bullet? And could you tell me which bullet and also measure say 10 rounds and give the min and max dimensions please?

2. What sort of MV do you get with the 105-107 gn projectiles with this cartridge?

3. And what sort of accuracy in moa do you get with the un-turned neck and also what is your rifles chamber neck dimension?

4. Those of you with tight neck chambers what size is you chamber neck/loaded round diameter and your accuracy in moa with the tight necks please

1. .270 with 107 SMK

2. 39.5gr N160 with 107SMK approx. 3050 fps

3. 0.4 MOA with 0.271 neck

6x47 shots much flatter than 6br (between 400m & 800m 3.5 minutes difference in elevation) but not convinced that it is any more accurate in good conditions.

Responding to your quick question.

1. 0.270 with 107SMK

2. 39.6gr AR2209 with 107SMK - Chrony result average MV of 3084

3. 0.35 centres with 0.271 neck

I have only just started to run in a new 6x47L barrel on my old FB 308, which became FS 308 which is now FO 6x47L. These are early results but very encouraging.
