Please find attached the flyer and entry form for the postponed 2021 NSWRA Queens to be held at Malabar 25 to 30 Jan 2022.

Note the Sargard and the NEW FCLASS Greg Emms trophy being contested on the afternoon of the 27th at 800m.

I’m booked in for the lead up only this time
Weather looks interesting

Yeah this could end up being a shocker...expect southerly winds to blow with that rain too which will make it all the more challenging!

Seems the forecast is improving
Hopefully by Tuesday it will be sunny and a light breeze

Looks pretty good now

Believe it or not I’m not the only person attending the nsw Queen’s this year



This is still the best day at the beach for me

A quick update
50s and 60s everywhere
There’s a steady 2min on a saum breeze blowing in off the ocean
A couple of 60:10s in F open on the first stage.
Mark Azzopardi and young Jock Foster from the Armidale club who is showing the old coots a thing or two!
Lunch is done and the medals were presented before the second stage which went well.
There’s a few 60s about even though the breeze has picked up
Looks like a good turnout for this Queens, great to be shooting again

The first day of the lead up saw a lot of high scores with conditions being fairly manageable.
In F open Azzo shot clean with more Xs than you could poke a stick at.

Today doesn’t look like the one to play catch up


The Armidale crew are all piloting 6mm dashers or BR
Looks like a dasher day today

A certain F standard shooter didn’t get the memo and walloped all the open shooters



Currently shooting the 800

Day 1 of the Queens is done with 500m and 600m accounted for. Warm weather, blue skies and fresh but consistent crosswinds were the order of the day. Plenty of clean scores being shot and there are plenty of shooters in contention. Kev Schwebel continued his strong lead up form and is the only F-standard shooter to remain clean. Likewise Scott Mitchell in FTR remains clean and is shooting very well. In F-Open things start to get a little more tense with a handful of shooters staying clean with the likes of Matt P and Craig Waire equal on X count with a few others breathing down their necks.

One of those days where if you shot a 59, you were coming off the mound disappointed, which happened to me at 600m as the famous Malabar gully caught a few shooters out. Day 2 should see warm weather and seabreezes again, but with 700m x 2 and 800m x 2, things will hopefully start to get a bit more interesting. Big turn out too and the event has been well run so far.

Wow. How good are the scores coming out of this event?

Well done to all winners!
Craig Weaire has joined a very small club of Queens winners who didn’t drop a shot
Maybe we could have a hall of fame set up here for such an occasion?

Congratulations everyone who came out for a great event I too had my share of luck in FO finishing 6th in the daily agg only to fall in calm conditions and nerves as well on the last day but thats shooting and we all have to wear our mistakes cant wait for September
