G'day gents
Just sorting out nominations with Warren in Darwin. Do we need to book a powered van site with you separately? Missus probably prefers to stay at the big van park over the road, but if facilities are better than in2016, we'll take a spot on the range!
Cheers
Dennis

Hi mate,
Are you talking about the Darwin facilities or Alice Springs?
The reason I ask is in 2016 you competed in the Darwin event, not the Central Australian Rifle Club OPM.
As for the facilities in Alice Springs. The facilities are owned and run by the Alice Springs Shooting Complex and not The Central Australian Rifle Club. In saying that Phil, Brian and myself are or have been on the complex committee and have been working on improvements. It is a slow process but we are getting there.
You could ask anyone who was here 2 years ago what they think to get an unbiased opinion. I personally chatted to a few shooters and they were extremely positive about the way things are heading here.
Caravan sites for our OPM are to be booked through the Central Australian Rifle Club. My phone number is on the first post of this thread.
Cheers.

Club Captain CARC.
P.S. Powered sites are nearly all taken.

Quick question, is the competition still going ahead given the issues currently with the Coronavirus?

Mick, I think the decision has been made with NT closing its borders. Might be fair to say no Alice springs Open or Darwin Queens if the borders are closed. But, I'll be there if things change.
