This is direct from the SSRs. Notice that the current 300 and 500 are retained. And the current 800 and modified PALMA (used at 900m/1000yd) are dropped in favour of the new 700 and 1000.

Another thing to note is that at 300, 500, 700, 1000 the new targets will all be exactly equivalent in relation to apparent size i.e. subtended angle of the rings. e.g the ring dimensions of the 500 are half the ring dimensions for 1000, because it is half the distance.

Allan,
By the size of the 10 scoring area on the 800-1000 yard target, I hope your done something about your elevation spread on that 6.5 rifle.

6mm Rule the Earth ask Chopper. lol

Cheers Geoff.

Geoff,

I could put in a few crook powder charges just to give the 6mms a chance :D :D :D !

Not sure when we're going to see the new targets actually - the SARA printer seems doubtful about having them in time for the National Queens. How about I make a couple of the new 1000 targets (have access to a large format printer) to be used next weekend in the Bendigo OPM? They could be used at both 900 and 1000. Let me know ASAP if you like the idea, and I'll bring them.

NSWRA received a quote some time back but didn't follow thru.
If that quote had been accepted the targets would have been in stock by now at a cost lower than the current targets,
